In some cases, your payment may be successful but the flight ticket is not issued immediately. This does not mean your money is lost and usually resolves automatically.
What does “Booking status: In Progress” mean?
If your booking shows Status: In Progress, it means:
Your payment is successful
The booking is being manually confirmed with the airline or supplier
Final confirmation is awaited
This is a temporary state and part of the normal booking flow.
How long does the “In Progress” status take?
In most cases, the booking is resolved within 30 minutes
In some situations, it may take a little longer due to airline response delays
You will always receive an update within 2 hours
The final outcome will be one of the following:
✅ Ticket issued, or
🔁 Refund initiated
Important: Please do not make a new booking
While your booking is In Progress:
Please do not create a new booking
Please do not retry the payment
This can result in:
Duplicate payments
Multiple bookings
Delays in refunds

Why does this happen?
This usually happens when:
Seats are limited or fast-selling
Airline systems need manual confirmation
Automated confirmation is temporarily unavailable
In such cases, FlightsMojo manually works with the airline or supplier to confirm the booking.
What are the chances of the ticket getting confirmed?
Based on our experience:
Around 90% of “In Progress” bookings are successfully ticketed
In the remaining cases, a refund is initiated immediately
While confirmation is not guaranteed, the likelihood of success is high.
What does FlightsMojo do in this case?
As soon as a booking goes into In Progress:
Our team actively follows up with the airline or supplier
The booking is prioritised for confirmation
One of the following actions is taken:
✅ Ticket is issued, or
🔁 Refund is initiated promptly
You do not need to take any action unless requested.
How fast is the refund processed if booking fails?
If the ticket is not confirmed:
FlightsMojo initiates the refund from our side, usually within a few hours
A refund receipt with the RRN / reference number is shared once processed
How long does it take for the money to reflect?
Refund timelines depend on your payment method:
UPI: usually within a few hours to 24 hours
Credit / Debit cards: typically 3–5 working days
Net banking: usually 3–5 working days
Wallets: timelines depend on the wallet provider
Once the refund is initiated by FlightsMojo, the remaining time depends on your bank.
Will FlightsMojo hold my money?
No.
If the ticket is not confirmed:
The ticket is either issued, or
The refund is processed promptly
Your money remains safe and fully tracked.
Do service fees apply in this case?
No.
If the booking fails and the ticket is not issued, FlightsMojo service fees are not charged.
When should I contact support?
You should contact support only if:
The booking remains In Progress for more than 2 hours without any update, or
You have not received a refund confirmation within 24 hours after failure
